Diabetes Glucose Meter Testing?

For the first time user, had much diabetes has no symptoms, so I figured I'd try anyway. Are there alternatives that will stand out with a finger or the forearm? I begin to faint at the thought that there are other areas that I could give Prick? Not close to the biceps? Not in my ass? Unfortunately, no other option. You have to put somewhere. Not fun, but absolutely necessary if you are diabetic. If you have symptoms, seek medical advice. Who is at home "finger stick" test is not useful for diagnosis. There used to be a control person diagnosed. The only way to diagnose diabetes with a blood test from your doctor. to take the best test is the A1C test. This test is rapid, inexpensive and very precise -. much more accurate than finger-stick test, and no, there are no other areas. - If you have a special (and expensive) meters, there are several new disk that tests on the forearms and thighs, but you have to make special METER Union. all other counters are "just your fingers!" Do not waste your time biting your fingers. Make an appointment with the doctor. glucose meters in the home are not precise enough to diagnose diabetes. Diabetes is not a project of "do it yourself." It makes no sense at all to collect the data you do not understand. Go to the doctor and get an A1C test and you have the answer .

how accurate is a home testing meter for testing diabetes?

Array home test meter can be precise when they work right (this is taught to read about diabetes, because I have several relatives who have diabetes). However, I would recommend checking with your doctor and see what they say. There are basically two types of gene mutations in relation to the disease. A type of mutation causes a disease. For example, the mutation causes achrondroplasia (a form of dwarfism), or causing haemophilia or cystic fibrosis or sickle cell anemia. The presence of genes that cause the disease has long been known. The second type of mutation does not directly cause a disease but rather a predisposition. These genes make a person susceptible to developing a disease. These genes often involves the common chronic diseases such as diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. Could a Diabetes Glucose test meter be used to test sugar content in wine?

Array probably - not be proven, it would not work I feel will detect a bit of sugar, but the values will be meaningless. But a trick you can do if you are unsure of soft drinks in a restaurant is diet or not, you can buy any of these Ketodiastix your pharmacist used to detect sugar in the urine. They are only about $ 12 for a lot of them. Dip sticks into a soft and if it changes color, it is sweetened and diet. Try Diastix site. Diastix are strips that are dipped in a liquid (usually urine) to test the sugar content. It changes color depending on the amount of sugar and can be used to distinguish between food and regular drinks.
